Bryan Frahm

Bryan Frahm was called to his heavenly home May 23rd, 2019. Bryan was a patient at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. He passed away from unexpected complications during esophagostomy surgery. He was a resident of Clarence, Iowa, formally of Garwin, graduating from the High School Class of 1987. Visitation will be held at the Garwin United Methodist Church on June 14th, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on June 15th, at 10:30 also at the Methodist Church with burial in the Garwin Cemetery. Casual attire is requested by Bryan’s family. Bryan was born on September 28th, 1968 in Marshalltown to Leland and Linda (Meeks) Frahm. During his school days he participated in little league baseball, Boy Scouts, 4-H, band, football and was basketball manager during his high school years. After graduating from Garwin, he attended Kirkwood Community College for two years. Bryan has spent the last 30 years working for Dircks Farms in their hog confinement enterprise. He enjoyed watching Westerns, playing cards, keeping in contact with friends on Facebook and spending time with family during holidays. Left to remember his quiet personality and smile are his parents, Leland and Linda Frahm of Marshalltown; three sisters: Lynnette (Eric) Dippon of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, Sheri (Patrick) Ergle of Marshalltown and Darci Kimball of Spring Valley, California. He is also survived by his niece; Allison Wogan; three nephews: Aaron (Elisabeth) Wogan, Jason and Jeremy Dippon and several aunts, uncles, cousins, including a very special cousin, Elaine and his boss Doug Hoffman, many friends, co-workers, class of 87 and his Siberian husky, Lucy. He has been reunited with his maternal grandparents, Donald and Myrta (Niedermann) Meeks and paternal grandparents Leland and Violet (Trimble) Frahm. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Bryan and his family.
