Before Chief Judge Patrick R. Grady: Billie Lee Nichols Hanson, 23, Toledo, received deferred judgments on three counts of 3rd degree burglary. Civil penalties totaling $2,250 were suspended, and court costs of $180 were assessed. He is to restitution totaling $948 the Tama-Toledo Aquatic Center in Toledo and $500 to Jiffy South in Tama for a total of Hanson was placed on supervised probation to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services for four years, ordered to pay the supervisor fee and to reside in a community corrections facility for up to 365 days. Hanson was charged in the Oct. 17,2018, burglary of Jiffy South Convenience Store by Tama Police Officer Daniel Sutfin and the Oct. 21, 2018 , burglary of the Tama-Toeldo Family Aquatic Center by Toledo Police Officer Kyle Howe. David Allen Rutledge, 47, Dysart, entered written guilty pleas to a charge of child endangerment - substantial risk and previously pleaded guilty to a charge of 2nd degree fraudulent practice. For child endangerment received a two-year suspended prison term, a fine of $625 was also suspended. For fraudulent practice he was senenteced to a suspended five-year prison term and a $750 fine was suspended. He was assessed $511 in court costs and directed to pay $14,959 restitution to Iowa WorkForce Development. He was placed on probation for three years was placed on supervised probation to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services. The sentences are to be served concurrently. Rutledge was charged on Aug. 11, 2017, with child endangerment - bodily injury. He was accused of throwing dishes during a domestic argument with his wife which struck a child. The charge was filed in the 500 block of Iowa Highway 21, Dysart, by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Joseph Quandt. Rutledge was cited on April 25, 2018, for allegedly obtaining $12,851 in Iowa Unemployment insurance benefits from Jan. 1, 2012 - March 25, 2017. A penalty of $1,928 was also sought in the complaint filed by Iowa Workforce Development investigator Sean Clark.

Before Judge Andrew B. Chappell” Robert Loren Crowe, 33, Toledo, pleaded guilty to simple assault. He was fiend and assessed court costs totaling $203. In addition,a contempt charge was dismissed according to terms of a plea agreement By Judge Chappell and a no contact order issued in 2007 was cancelled on March 20, 2019, by Senior Judge Jane F. Spande. Crowe was originally charged on Sept. 7, 2007, with domestic abuse assault by Toledo Police.
