Gladbrook Lions Club

December 21, 2018

The Gladbrook Lions met for a Christmas Party/meeting at Spanky’s on Dec. 18th. The group including the spouses enjoyed a delicious hamball/chicken dinner. Trudi Scott had everyone laughing as they played several holiday games including one all about the movie “It’s A wonderful Life”. A former District Governor Rev. Joseph Hackett installed new members, Chris Gould and Trudi Scott. Their sponsor was Jeanne Paustian. Club President Darrell Paustian showed the wooden drop box he made for people to place their old eye glasses and hearing aids. It will be in the Great Western Bank. Kids glasses are also needed. A new project the Lions are starting is collecting used postage stamps for the veterans to make designs out of them. The stamps can be dropped off at Peace Church. The Club is planning to do concessions at the theater. If anyone would like to learn more about the Gladbrook Lions Club call the President Darrell Paustian.
