Gladbrook Women’s Club

October 18, 2018
Northern-Sun Print
Fifteen members of the Gladbrook Women’s Club met at the home of Jean Livingston for the September meeting. The meeting opened with an excellent program on “Operation Life Save”, information about railroad crossing safety given by William Backoff. June, acting as President Pro-Tem, called the meeting to order. The minutes, treasurer’s report and proposed budget were read and approved. The upcoming Holiday Happenings scheduled for November 19 was discussed. The program this year will be an exciting vocalist from Waterloo along with the tasty meal and great door prizes. The members also voted to have a Spring Lunch open to all in the community. This will be a little different from the teas that we have hosted in the past. Details will be announced at a later date. Birthdays and anniversaries were announced for the month of September. With no further business, the meeting was adjourned. Hostesses Joan, Jean, Karen and Mary Jane served delicious sandwich lunch. The next meeting will be October 11, 2018.
