Wolfcreek Whirlwinds

October 4, 2018
Northern-Sun Print
The Regular meeting of the Wolfcreek Whirlwinds 4-H club was held at the Gladbrook Movie Theater on September, 9th, 2018. There were 20 members present. Secretary Kayla Vavroch called the meeting to order at 1:34, and she also lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was “ What is your favorite thing to do in the fall, “ most of our members said they like to carve pumpkins”. Reports were given by members who attended and exhibited at the Iowa State Fair, as well as discussing how we all did at the Tama County Fair. In addition, we discussed the various tours and workshops that we would like to do this next year. Our leaders talked about 4-H week, we are all encouraged to go to the Fall Fest at Otter Creek on October 7th from 12-4 p.m. and roller skating in Vinton on October 14th, at the county wide 4-H Week event. It was decided that we would all wear our 4-H t-shirts to school on October 10th during 4-H week and get pictures at each school of the members wearing them. Member Rhianna Murty lead us in the 4-H pledge and the meeting was adjourned. There were no presentations because it was our first meeting of the year. Following the meeting, we took time to write thank you notes to the sponsors of the Tama County Fair.
