September 17, 2018, was the meeting for the UMW with nine members attending 9:30 a.m. The committee for the day were Kay Lowry, Corrine Jensen, Patsy Rinz and Carolyn Anker. Delicious quick breads, grapes, coffee and tea were served on decorated nature inspired tables. Kay Lowry gave the lesson based on Genesis and the creation from the UMW program book. Members shared their experiences of God’s creations they have experienced. Members were given a picture to color and being back. Kathy Poling began the business meeting. No old business was brought up. In new business, Kathy expressed giving money from our treasury each month as local mission women and children’s needs. For example, September-Kids Club, October-Trunk or Treat, November-books for teachers to give children that have no books at home. Others might be summer camps and Kid’s Shopping Day. RoseMary McKinney made a motion to donate each month to needs of women and children. Diane Mussig seconded. The vote taken passed. Report from Westbrook Committee September 16 Corrine Jensen, Kathy Poling, Suzanne Boldt and Diane Mussig. Secretary’s minutes were read. Treasurer’s report given. Paid one camp 2 + 3 quarter pledges sent Thanksgiving Offering. Both reports were approved as read. Diane made motion and RoseMary seconded. Vote carried. Correspondence was read, a thank you from 88 Piano Keys. Next meeting October 17, 2018, with committee RoseMary McKinney, Barbara Strohbehn, Becky Fish and JoAnne Sash.
