Gladbrook Jr. Auxiliary

For nearly 99 years, the American Legion Auxiliary has sponsored Poppy Days to remind America that millions have sacrificed their lives and health to keep our nation strong and free. Members of the Gladbrook Jr. Auxiliary distributed poppies in Gladbrook and Lincoln on Wed., May 9th. This is their favorite project of the year as all the proceeds go to help veterans and their families. The Juniors over $500. The girls were treated to a supper hosted by Auxiliary members Trudi Scott, and Martha Gamble after they finished their territory. Juniors helping on a beautiful day were: Back Row: (l-r) Emily Hulme, Jasmin Terven, Jordan Sherman, Stella Betts, Kayla Vavroch, and Amaya Peterson. Middle Row: Alaney Sienknecht, Adelyn Sienknecht, Jo Lage, and Sydney Vavroch. Front Row: Brayla Davis, Shawna Cibula, Kenzie Bartel, Bryleigh Bartel, and Carlee Smith. Seniors helping were Kathy Vavroch, Joyce Swangel, Barb Bereczki, Candice Bartel, Jenny Hulme, Tandi Davis, Sherry Smith, Jr. Leader Jeanne Paustian and Poppy Chairman Jodi Betts. We would like to thank everyone who donated. Please wear your poppies on Memorial Day weekend.
