Last week in Review: What a Fun Week at your Favorite Hometown Library!! We started Monday filled with an Artistic Group of Women for Craft Club. We made Button Flower Arrangements in Vintage Salt and Pepper Shakers . All of our materials for this Project were Donated by Wonderful Patrons who Support the Revitalization of our Library. Thank you!! We had a Great time at Cookbook Club on Tuesday, too!! We had TONS of Cookbooks to search through from Local Churches, Businesses and Groups! We Discussed Ideas for Quick Fix Meals, went over Helpful Hints and shared some Go-To Meal Ideas! We also talked about our Upcoming Meeting next Month, where our Theme will be “A Bunch for Brunch” We will all be trying Brunch Recipes to bring in and Share with the Group, talk about ingredients used, recipe “tweeks, etc ... DATE CHANGE: So we don’t interfere with any other local groups, the Date of our next Cookbook Club Meeting will be Thursday, April 20th (the 3rd Thursday of the Month) Be Sure to BRING A FRIEND and Join Us for this NEW, Fun Club and Share your Love of Cooking with Others!! Tuesday After School we Celebrated “Pi” Day (3.14) by enjoying Handmade Pies Courtesy of “The Pie Lady”, Laura Bru. She brought in a Red Raspberry and Apple Pie for our Kids and Patrons to enjoy while the Kids Added Newly Colored PI Symbols to our Pop Art Wall!! Awesome Day! Wednesday proved to be a great day for Children’s Story Hour. The Kids celebrated National Wildlife Day by Beth Reading them stories about Wild Animals, Coloring Animal Pictures, Eating Yummy Animal Crackers and Playing in our Children’s Area. We’re already Excited to See you Next Wednesday at 10 am for Another Fun Story Hour! Happy Creek Coffee and Conversation had a nice sized group on Friday Afternoon for Coffee and Goodies, also! Be sure to join us Every Friday at 2:30 pm for this Fun Outing to end the Week! **Reminder** Our Monthly “BOOK” Tasting Event is Coming Up on Wednesday, March 29th at 6pm!! If you Enjoyed our Last One OR are Going to be a “Newby” this Time, we Guarantee a Great Night of Interesting Books and Authors that will Give you a “Taste” of Something New! Also, our EBOOKS Instructional Program is Now been ReScheduled for Thurs., March 30th at 2:30 pm! You will learn how to Download Books onto your Laptop, Nook, Kindle, Notepad or Smartphone for FREE from a Vast Selection of Books from our Virtual Library… Bring Your device with you to Practice in the New System! A Special Thank You: Another Week of Incredible Giving to the Gladbrook Library! Local Author, Beverly Miller has Donated a Signed copy of her Latest Book, “Wilderness Retreat: A Hook without Bait”. This is her Overall 3RD book written, and her 1st in this Series about a Fishing Lodge in Northern Minnesota. We are Hoping to have her Come In and give a Program regarding her Writing Process, along with a Book Signing of her Books … Soon!! Stay Tuned !! Other Adult Reads and Adorable Children’s Books, along with Monetary Donations have been given this week by the Thoughtful Folks in our various Clubs, Groups and Community! THANK YOU TO ALL!
