October 21, 2016
Northern-Sun Print
The Gladbrook Jr. Auxiliary members met on Sat., Oct, 15th, at Westbrook Acres. There were three new Juniors present Johanna Lage, and Regleigh & Kensiel Bartel. They had a lot of fun making 60 colorful owls with the help of the residents for the Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City. The owls will be a nice surprise for the kids. The Juniors and Unit members brought items for Operation Christmas Child. They enjoyed filling shoeboxes for children 2-14 years of age. The shoeboxes are a project of Samaritan’s Purse and are sent to places in the United States as well as all over the world to help make a child’s Christmas a little merrier. Hosting the meeting were Jodi Betts, Shanna Goos, and Tandi Davis. The Juniors will meet on Sat., Nov. 19th, 9:30 at Westbrook to make favors for the December Senior Citizens dinner. Hosting the Nov. meeting will be Sherry Scarf, Melissa Sienknecht, and Jeanne Paustian. Juniors participating were Sydney & Kalya Vavroch, Stella Betts, Adelyn & Alaney Sienknecht, Regleigh & Kensiel Bartel, Johanna Lage, Maya Goos, Maddi & Ethan Edwards, and Carlee Smith.
