Letter to the Editor-David Wiese

Dear Editor I want to challenge voters to understand the full impact of their vote and consider a vote for Donald Trump. Donald Trump is strong and unafraid. He has awakened the American people to discussions that has been long overdue. Donald Trump is hard working. Say what you want, Trump has followed the law in his business and made decisions to allow his business to grow. We need business savvy in Washington. Donald Trump will reform the tax code. If you make less than $25,000 single and less than $50,000 married, YOU WILL NOT OWE ANY INCOME TAX. The rest of us that may make a bit more will see a reduction in our income tax on an average of $1000. The tax code will be simplified from seven tax brackets down to four (0%, 10%, 20%, 25%) and all companies from Fortune 500 to Mom and Pop shops will pay no more than 15% of their business income in taxes. Also, the Death Tax disappears under the Trump tax plan. You earned and saved the money for your family, not the government. You paid taxes on it when you earned it so no one should be taxed again. Donald Trump strongly SUPPORTS OUR VETERANS. He will reform the Department of Veterans Affairs. Records show over 300,000 vets have died waiting for care and politicians have done too little. Trump’s plan will ensure Veterans get the care they deserve. Donald Trump is strong on IMMIGRATION REFORM. He will build a wall and stop the flood o illegal immigrants from all over the world to our country that burden our schools, health care system, economy, and judicial systems. An immigration plan must improve jobs, wages, and security for all Americans and his plan does that. Donald Trump is tough on ISIS. He has a plan to destroy ISIS and temporarily ban refugees until better vetting procedures can be developed. He understands there are individuals that want to do harm and plan to infiltrate any refugees that the U.S. takes in. Donald Trump is human. I would rather vote for someone that is human than a “lying scripted robot” that make deals that stab Americans in the back. Aren’t we all different people than we were ten years ago? I know I am. I would not want to be judged on comments I made ten years ago. Donald Trump is clear on the Second Amendment. The focus will be on enforcing the gun laws already on the books and facing the fact our mental health system needs repair. If we hold Mr. Trump hostage to the words of his past, none of the concerns Americans care about will have a chance. David Wiese New Glarus, Wisconsin
