Alpha Study

Alpha Study Club met Tuesday, December 11, at the home of Marcia Plett. Sue Koster, Claire Handorf, Marge Grove, Phyllis Chizek and Marcia Plett of the Social Committee served a delicious luncheon. The table was adorned with name cards with a beautiful crocheted res and white candy cane bookmark made by Phyllis Chizek. The Program Committee; Rose Russell, Ranae Fagan, Shirley Swenson and Pat Clausen entertained the members with a variety of readings. The first was “What antlers tell us about Santa’s reindeer”, a humorous reading “The Week Before Christmas” and I Corinthians 13, rephrased and applied to modern Christmas activities. Purse Bingo was played with much enthusiasm. Many won prizes and everyone had a lot of fun. A short meeting was held. Pauline Flamme reported on the gifts for the Westbrook Nursing Home. Martha Gamble requested members to save any Christmas cards they received with the Nativity on the front. These will be made into favors for the children attending Children’s Day at the Memorial Building. The next meeting will be January 8, 2013, at the home of Avriel Koester. Pat Goos, Secretary
