93 Wartburg students inducted into Phi Eta Sigma honor society Alyssa Gauthier of Gladbrook inducted

Waverly, Iowa — Wartburg College inducted 93 students into Phi Eta Sigma, the national honor society for college freshmen, during an Oct. 12 ceremony. Phi Eta Sigma is the oldest and largest freshman honor society with membership at more than 756,000. A student must achieve a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 and be in the top 20 percent of their class by the end of the first year of college. Wartburg is a four-year, selective liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The college enrolls 1,747 students from 29 U.S. states and 53 countries. The Wartburg students inducted were: Gladbrook: Alyssa Gauthier, daughter of Chad and Michele Gauthier
